Set in an eerie, Lovecraftian reimagining of 1920s America, The Sinking City 2 is a narrative-driven, third-person survival horror game coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2025.

Harnessing the full power of Unreal Engine 5, we’re crafting an immersive horror experience that will plunge players into a world of mystery, madness, and cosmic terror. But to take our vision even further, we need your help!

What Awaits You in Arkham?

After the devastating flood, Arkham is a shadow of its former self. A city partially submerged, abandoned by most, and left to rot. The remaining survivors have their own reasons for staying, but their presence offers no reassurance. Everyone has an agenda, and no one can be trusted.

With a semi-open world design, Arkham is denser and more detailed than ever, packed with quests, secrets, and environmental storytelling. There’s no hand-holding – you’ll need to explore, observe, and piece things together yourself. Navigate its ruins on foot or by boat, uncover hidden paths, and discover areas that may have been better left undisturbed.

Face Lovecraftian Horrors With an Overhauled Combat System

We have rebuilt combat from the ground up to provide a more intense and immersive survival horror experience:

• Era-Specific Firearms & Limited Resources – Weapons are designed to match the 1920s setting, requiring careful aiming, planning, and resource management. With a reworked inventory system, expect a variety of tools and consumables you can craft and upgrade to suit your survival needs.
• New and Iconic Lovecraftian Creatures – Encounter reimagined monsters from the Cthulhu Mythos alongside original horrors unique to The Sinking City universe. Each enemy has its own strengths, weaknesses, and unpredictable behavior.
• Strategic Combat & Weakness Exploitation – Not every enemy can be taken down the same way. Observe their patterns, find weak points, and adapt your approach to save resources.
• New Perk System – Progress the game to unlock combat-focused perks that allow for different playstyles.

Revamped Investigation System – Uncover Mysteries Your Way

Investigation is an integral part of our games, and in The Sinking City 2, we’ve redesigned it to offer more freedom and flexibility – whether you’re a detective at heart or someone who prefers to jump straight into the action.

• Find Every Clue or Deduce the Truth Yourself – You can choose to meticulously gather evidence, piece together every detail, and unlock additional lore, knowledge, and gameplay bonuses – or rely on your own intuition and deductive reasoning to reach conclusions without having to track down every last clue.
• No Rigid Puzzle-Solving – Missing a single clue won’t block your progress. Instead of being forced into a specific investigative path, you can connect the dots in your own way and move forward based on your understanding.

This revamped system ensures that investigation remains a core gameplay element while allowing players to engage with it in a way that suits their playstyle. Whether you thrive on uncovering every mystery or prefer to trust your instincts and take risks, the choice is yours.

A Story Rooted in Lovecraftian Horror & Human Obsession

The people remaining in Arkham after the flood aren’t just survivors – they stayed for a reason. Hidden motives, obsessions, and secrets bind them to the decaying city, shaping their actions in ways you may not fully understand.

The Sinking City 2 is a deeply narrative-driven experience, pulling directly from Lovecraftian lore while introducing morally gray characters, unexpected twists, and unsettling themes of isolation, madness, and despair. The line between sanity and delusion, truth and deception, survival and surrender is never clear.

What role does your character play in all of this? That won’t be immediately clear. We won’t reveal too much for now – you’ll have to uncover the city’s darkest truths yourself!
